The list of the XI edition of the International Festival “ City of Latina” adds two new competitors : from the USA the “DUO LYRA” brings to Latina an act of “aerial circle” while from Russia the “ Troupe Sarach” presents an act of “ acrobatism over the poles”.

The choice of the artists that will take part to the XI edition of the International Festival Circus “ City of Latina “ go on without rest. Many demands of participation have arrived from all over the world and at the moment the Commission’s work is really important because of the high level of the artists. Two competitors have officially been chosen during these days: we are talking about the “DUO LYRA” coming from USA and “THE TROUPE SARACH” coming from Russia.
The “DUO LYRA was born in Brattleboro in 2006 in the state of Vermont, not far from the “New England Center for Circus art” thanks to the collaboration of the two young artists Cody Schreger and Mark Harding. Cody and Mark learnt the circus art at the school of Elsie and Serenity Smith, two twin sisters who teach aerial acrobatic, and took part to the quadrennial tour called “Saltimbanco” of the “Cirque du Soleil”. Two important artists with a reliable and rich education
who started when they were just child. They base their work on different subjects such as gym, dancing, aerial arts and theatre. All these experiences allowed them to obtain high school titles. In 2005 Cody Shreger took a degree in Choreography of dance at the “ Bard College” while Mark Harding took a degree in Technique of the theatre at the “Wright State University “. The name of the act that the “DUO LYRA “ is going to perform to Latina is called “ En circle” and it join together the great skill in dancing and the authenticity of the theatre in a great performance that will see Cody and Mark doing amazing evolutions into a great sphere hanging on the air.
The Alexey Sarach Troupe presents another high performance characterized by an astonishing technique and great skill in the acrobatism art. It concerns specifically a particular act of acrobatism over poles of strong emotional interest, whose actors are nine acrobats belonging to the russian Circus Company of State. The russian acrobats are endowed of a refined technique and unbelievable physical strength. They will go over the traditional act of acrobatism over poles and will build a human pyramid that touch on the highest part of the Chapiteau and it will hold only if the artists manage in keep on three different order of balance; this act is characterized from suspense and it has allowed the TROUPE SARACH to get the world record of acrobatism over poles.
